MICHAEL VAN KREY is a veteran high school Japanese teacher who has planned, coordinated, and guided eight tours of Japan for his high school students. Having lived in Japan for three years and taught Japanese for 17 years, nearly half of his life has been dedicated to teaching people about the culture, customs, and language of Japan.
JUNKO YOKOTA is a lifelong, extensively traveled educator. She has guided six of the tours along with Michael and brings a great depth of experience from having grown up in Japan and living in the US, along with her passion for experiencing cultures around the world.
BOTH ARE AVID AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHERS who have built this trip to suit the needs of photographers. They see this trip not exclusively for photographers, but also for people who like to linger, soaking in their surroundings without the feeling of being pushed through a check list of the top 10 places to see.
